Norway Spruce (a.k.a. european spruce) (picea abies)

Norway Spruce is the fastest growing of the spruces and most diseases resistant of the evergreens and why we recommend the Norway Spruce. Norway Spruce develops strong graceful branches that are covered with dark green needles. Ideal quick windbreaker or privacy screen.

Norway Spruce is usually fast growing to approx. 80' to 100' tall with a 35' to 40' spread.

Norway Spruce grow between 1' and 2' tall per year at this size depending on the soil and weather conditions. Norway Spruce can be trained to a pyramid shape and become more dense by pruning their branches while not budding in the spring.

All of our Norway Spruce are purchased and shipped from a certified nursery located in Michigan where we purchased all of our seedling evergreen trees planted on our tree farm.

Note: Potted Norway Spruce can be transplanted almost any time of the year since their root system is barely disturbed with little or no stress to the plant when transplanted.
